Cedar wood trinket box from "Western Post Holes" Studio in Pueblo, Colorado.
Handcrafted from solid wood; some are made from actual posts, others from cedar and juniper, all recovered from ranches in The West. “Because these woods are resistant to rotting in the ground, ranchers chose the cedar and juniper for their posts. If the box was crafted from an actual post, it may have staples, staple holes, wire marks, or nails in it.”
This box appears to be crafted from a section of cedar fence post. Beautiful texture and wood grain throughout.
Can be used to keep jewelry, paper clips, earrings, pencils, matches, or any number of things in a truly unique box.
Measures 4 3/8” tall x 9” wide x 4 5/8” brass hardware and green felt bottom
Good pre owned condition. No large scratches or dents. Small flecks of possibly white paint on front of box (pics 11 & 12)
